Virtual Adult Partners respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its members to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 ("DMCA").

How to file a DMCA takedown notice

To report content on the Site that you believe infringes your copyright, send a written communication to our Designated Agent (below) that includes EACH of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the work allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of the infringing activity, with information sufficient to permit us to locate it (a URL is best).
  4. Your contact information: full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Incomplete notices may not be acted upon. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a DMCA notice can subject you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Counter-notification

If you believe content you posted to the Site was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification that contains the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which it appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which the Site may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice or that person's agent.

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.
